Safe Environment Training - As part of the Safe Environment Program, the Diocese of Venice requires that all employees and those volunteers who work with children and/or vulnerable adults be fingerprinted and complete online training in Safe Environment prior to beginning employment or volunteering. English Catholic Charismatic Renewal
Conference and Concert - The English Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Diocese of Venice will be hosting an original 2-day “Holy Spirit 101, For Such a Time as This” Spiritual Gifts Conference with Concert on June 2 and June 3. The event will be led by Singer, Songwriter, Author, and Speaker Tori Harris,
toriharris.com. The first day of the event will be a Praise and Worship Concert on Friday, June 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There is no cost to attend the concert. From 9:00 a.m.- 3:45 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, the interactive Holy Spirit 101 Spiritual Gifts workshop will take place. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. The registration cost for Saturday is $35.00 for individuals and for groups with 10+ people is $20 each. Registration includes a Continental Breakfast, Lunch, & Refreshments. The event will be held in the Epiphany Cathedral Parish Center Hall located at 310 Sarasota Street, Venice, FL 34285. Totus Tuus Summer Camp Program - Totus Tuus (a Latin phrase meaning “totally yours”) is a summer Catholic youth camp program dedicated to sharing the Gospel and promoting the Catholic faith through evangelization, catechesis, Christian witness, and Eucharistic worship. The weeklong Parish summer catechetical camp program assists parents and parishes in evangelizing and catechizing youth by complementing the work they are already doing at the parish and at home. Calling All Men! That Man is You! - That Man is You (TMIY) is a Catholic men’s program that honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. The program harmonizes current social and medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive! Since its inception, more than 100,000 men have been involved in TMIY. The transformative effects in participants have been most evident in helping men become better husbands and fathers, strengthening them in virtue, and in increased parish participation. There will be numerous parishes in the Diocese of Venice that will be starting up TMIY programs in the Fall of 2023. Below, please see parishes that will be hosting one-hour TMIY information sessions in June 2023.

Day of Reflection for Sacramental Marriage - The Office of Marriage and Family Life will be hosting a Day of Reflection for couples preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage in the Catholic Church on two separate dates. A specially prepared team will share their experiences and information enabling couples to be more aware of the privileges and responsibilities of marriage. Men’s Support After Abortion - Base Camp is an open-forum, weekly discussion group for men who have been impacted by abortion that meets at 12:00 p.m. EST, Tuesdays. Each week men will be invited into the conversation as we discuss abortion, healing, authentic masculinity, and other issues that plague men today. Attendees can remain anonymous or not. The group is led by Greg Mayo, Men's Healing Strategist for Support After Abortion and author of "Almost Daddy: The Forgotten Story." Greg experienced abortion loss twice and still remembers the isolation he felt as he had nowhere to turn and no one to talk to. Base Camp is designed to be that place for men.

Volunteers Needed - Join the team of Diocesan volunteers who enter county jails and state prisons within the Diocese of Venice to do pastoral ministry, distribute the Eucharist and facilitate programs. Priests, Deacons, and Lay volunteers are encouraged to assist in this ministry. You will participate in an orientation before entering the facility and will “shadow” experienced volunteers until you feel comfortable. Times and days vary by facility.
